Get your Gear ready for Season

Perhaps you’re not a winter camper or have not had the time. With good weather headed our way it’s time to dig out your camping gear and apparel.

Check everything is there (tent pegs and all poles), and in good condition (zips, holes etc.) The last thing you need is to arrive at camp only to be faced with a tent that won’t pitch because you are missing a pole or pegs. If it rains, then the last thing you need is to discover a hole in the flysheet or floor.

Quick Tent Checklist

• Flysheet is present and in good condition
• Inner tent is present and in good condition, especially the floor
• All tent poles are present and in good condition
• All tent pegs are present
• All guy ropes are present

It is always a good idea to take along a simple repair patch for your canvas or nylon tent. Duct tape has so many uses!

Be careful to use the correct soap when cleaning your performance wear, detergents can destroy waterproofing and breathability.
